I see clients with a range of emotional, neurological, and behavioral issues, and offer a highly personalized approach in order to assist my clients in creating the personal growth they seek. My counseling approach incorporates a Biblical model of counseling, integrated with state of the art clinical principles. This combination allows for a more individualized approach that best addresses the needs of most folks. As we walk together, we work for “PROGRESS – NOT PERFECTION”.
While there are many “equifinality” approaches to psychotherapy care, the biblical approach, integrated with professional/clinical principles provides a Christ-centered foundation and reliance upon the infallible Word of God and the power of prayer to surpass the limitations that you or I have. However, my professional ethics code constrains me. I am not a “bait and switch” kind of Christian counselor! I will not impose by beliefs on you and will not assume that you want spiritual interventions in counseling. Only with your permission will I incorporate scripture or prayer or overt Bible references into our sessions. Since current data indicates that above 95% of all people believe in some form of a higher power, to adopt any other approach than the above, would be equally unethical and unprofessional.
